Green Gerschon offers an extensive standard range of packaging made from eco-friendly Green PE and PCR. For us, sustainability is a core standard—and an essential expectation for today’s consumers.

Our climate-neutral Green PE is derived from renewable sugarcane and matches the performance of conventional polyethylene. Since an accessible collection stream is vital for a circular economy, Green PE can be easily recycled through standard household recycling systems.

A standout feature for sustainable packaging: Green PE delivers a modern, high-end look and feel. It is certified for cosmetic and pharmaceutical use and is ideally suited for vegan natural cosmetics.

Our recycled-content lines feature up to 60% PCR, coming very close to the EU’s 2030 target of 70%. All items are certified for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications because recycled materials are used exclusively in outer layers, ensuring zero direct contact with your formula. All inner surfaces and contact points are made from virgin PP.

Green PE vs. Recycled Materials (PCR / PIR)

PCR materials like rHDPE or rPET are produced from consumer waste (post-consumer recyclate) alongside industrial scrap (post-industrial recyclate). The availability of PCR relies on properly separated consumer disposal to complement industrial streams. Being 100% recyclable, it protects natural resources and significantly cuts waste.

Green PE is equally recyclable within established collection systems. Derived from renewable sugarcane, its production eliminates fossil feedstocks, uses significantly less energy, and captures CO₂ directly during cultivation. While readily available, its higher cost compared to PCR can influence broader market adoption.
